The Lone Sailor Division takes its name from the iconic symbol of the Navy Memorial’s mission to Honor, Recognize, and Celebrate the men and women of the Sea Services, past, present, and future; and to Inform the public about their service.
Our military culture stresses concepts of duty, service and self-sacrifice which are the foundation of good leadership. At young ages, our cadets are given leadership opportunities by staffing summer training events, planning unit drill sessions, and teaching others.
